MAAC Salt Lake the only East Zone Winner at 15th 24FPS International Award

MAAC Salt Lake once again shone brighter at the fifteenth 24 FPS International film festival. The hard work of our talented students under the command of the brilliant Mentors was well appreciated by the respectable Juries. MAAC 24 FPS International Award is one of the most prestigious awards for Animation and Visual Effects segment closer home and beyond.

The 24 FPS award since its stepping stone in the year 2003 is held every year. It is the most significant platform for students to showcase their Creativity and Skill. The awards are to promote the distinct talent in film making using medium of 3D Animation, Live Action and Visual Effects (VFX). The Awards welcome participation from students, professionals and studios from across the world. The fifteenth edition of it was held on the 22nd of December 2017 at Sahara Star in Mumbai. Several eminent personalities were present to add to the grandeur.

We at MAAC Salt Lake are so proud of all the appreciation our students got for making some really good movies. Our short film ‘Atrocity’ which was based on the negative side effects of today’s Climate Change got nominated in the UNIC category, which is dedicated to UNICEF. We bagged a bronze award for ‘Spectacular’which depicted the use of TOILET, in the 3D Main Stream Category. The award for this movie is a little more special as MAAC Salt Lake is the only one to win an award in the entire eastern region in the Main Stream Categories.
